
AIME Academy Workshop – Permanent threads

This session focuses on permanent threads and advanced suspension techniques. It is aimed at practitioners wishing to deepen their understanding of the indications, planning and execution of more complex suspension procedures.
The aim is to offer a rigorous, safe and tailored approach for patients with more pronounced sagging or who require a long-lasting correction.

By the end of the day, participants will be able to:
Understand the specific characteristics of permanent threads.
Distinguish between the indications for absorbable and permanent threads.
Identify patients who are suitable candidates for an advanced suspension procedure.
Plan the traction vectors and anchor points.
Master the principles of safety and follow-up care for treated patients.
Programme
10.00 am – 12.00 pm: Theory
Overview of permanent threads: characteristics, benefits and limitations.
Comparison between absorbable and permanent threads.
Anatomy of the suspension planes.
Indications: facial laxity, facial contour, neck, eyebrows, mid-face.
Procedure planning, entry points, anchor points and vectors.
1.00 pm – 6.00 pm: Practical workshop
Analysis of clinical case indications.
Pre-procedure marking.
Demonstration of advanced suspension techniques.
Work on traction vectors and symmetry.
Post-operative management, prevention of irregularities and follow-up.
Discussion of results, limitations and complex cases.
